Havasu Landing Casino

What do you do in Lake Havasu when you’ve been there before?
We had already been to the bridge but we had never taken the ferry ride over to Havasu Landing Casino.  The casino is on the California side of the lake and unless you want to drive 90 miles around, the easiest way is to pay the $2.00 per person fee and get there is about 20 minutes.
The ferry takes off from just below the bridge so we were able to take some pictures while we waited.
I was on the wrong side of the ferry to get a very good picture but that’s the casino.  Very small.  After leaving a little money there, we hopped on the ferry to go back.
That’s a picture of an rv park right on the water.
Coming back into dock.  It was a fun trip.  Enjoyed the ferry ride but not the casino so much.

Busy 2 weeks

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks for us.  We arrived in Acton, Ca on March 4th and Wednesday I spent time visiting my son Terry who now works at the same YMCA as I did before we left.  Friday, we had a wonderful lunch with one of the Board Members whom I worked with.  Friday evening daughter Stacy and family arrived for the weekend.  Ciera and Ramey stayed with us, and Stacy and husband Jason spent the weekend with friends.  Saturday evening, was spent at son Terry’s house where we celebrated St Patrick’s Day ( a little early ).  St pats day at Terrys
Sunday was spent visiting with old neighbors and good friends, Claire and Glenn.  They lived across the street for me when my divorce was happening and they were very close with my kids.  It was a great night reminiscing.
dinner with Claire and Glenn
Wednesday March 12th was Ciera’s 20th birthday and we drove up to Bakersfield for her party.  Finally got to meet her boyfriend Robin.  He’s a wonderful guy and we are very happy for her.
Yesterday was dinner with Ed’s brother Jim and wife Debbie.

It’s been a quick 2 weeks and we will be returning to do it all again in another 3 weeks!!

Has Little Boo Peep Lost Her Sheep?

Well, we found them!!

We are boondocking at Avi Casino for a couple of days before heading into California to visit family.
This morning Ed, while outside cleaning the car windows, heard something strange coming down the road.  He opened the door and yell for me to grab the camera.
This is what we saw.

Not sure where they were taking them.  But boy were they loud.  They weren’t happy sheep!!!
