We have been in Quartzsite for the past 10 days. We did some shopping in the big RV tent and other venders that are around town. We added some LED lights to our rig, bought a couple of shirts. But the main reason for coming to Quartzsite, for us this year, was getting together with old friends and meeting new ones.
Looking from our motorhome down the center of the circle.
We had nine rigs on this side of the wash.
Julie spend a day raking and making a walkway to where there were another 5 rigs.
And here’s the fire pit.
We sometimes had 25 or 30 chairs around the fire. It really was never cold, so it was really perfect.
On one day we had our own little swap meet. No money changed hands, everyone just put out things they no longer needed or wanted. We drew numbers and then after 2 rounds, it was a free for all. Everything that was not taken, has been donated to the local thrift store.
On Wednesday we had a celebration dinner and honored our oldest member. We had a huge spaghetti feed since that is Lee’s favorite meal.
Also on Wednesday we took our Classless Class photo. We are very lucky to have a professional photographer in our class (Carol) and this has become the highlight of coming to Quartzsite.
We were sorry to leave this morning, but we know we will see some in a few weeks here at Emerald Cove and also at the Winter Blast in Lake Havasu. And of course we may be seeing some during our travels this summer. One of the good things we have is a class map that a class member (Dave Sand) created. We all have a log in and there are pins for each of us. We move the pin around the country as we move. With this map we are able to keep track of everyone and we know when we are close to each other.
Till we meet again…..
