Update

We finally got the car back on Monday February 4th and took it over to Camping World to have them check out the tow package.  We did purchase a new riser for the motorhome portion of the tow package.  The arms of the tow package are okay.  They move in and out okay so we don’t have to replace that part.  The base plate under the car is okay but the arms that hold the cross bar are bent a little forward.  They could not get the parts for us in time.  So when we hooked up the car on Tuesday, Ed drove it around the park and it was tracking okay so we decided to go for it.  Let me tell you, I was a nervous wreck until we got out of Nashville.  Going by the spot where the accident happened was really stressful for me, of course Ed took everything in stride!

We arrived safely in Livingston, where we are now.  We’ve done our doctors appointments, and had our vehicles inspected.  Ed’s played golf a couple of times and has gotten the motorhome washed and waxed. And of course, we have played Bingo!  During all this we both have been fighting colds for the past week.  We have about 4 days left here.  We will leave on Wednesday and head toward Beaumont for an appointment with Freightliner.  We will have the oil changed, the transmission checked and we keep getting a low air warning every once in a while.

We are then heading toward New Orleans and Biloxi.  It’s a little early, but we need to be in Virginia by the 15th of March for our summer job.  Looking forward to being close the Kim, Mark and Savannah for the summer.
